Request approval of budget amendment - Public Health - $543,863 - to accept and appropriate funds for Agreement Addendum 122 Hurricane Helene Essential Functions Support from NC DHHS Division of Public Health, Local Technical Assistance and Training branch to purchase items to restore essential functions and address the post-disaster needs of the local public health system during recovery. Items to be purchased include Starlink equipment and service for satellite internet to ensure communication is readily available and services can be provided to the community, Viper radios for effective and essential communication especially during emergency responses including the emergency shelter and also during deployment of mobile vaccine clinics, Oxygen concentrators and other durable medical equipment/supplies to better serve the public.
